On Wednesday 4th July 2018, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council held a Careers and Skills event with the aim to promote careers and sectors across Southend and its surrounding areas.
And we had a stall there! We attended the morning session, it was lovely to meet a variety of people, educating them all about the marketing industry and how they might see a future in it. We understand most young people do not know what is meant by marketing, but as soon as we asked if they had any social media accounts they soon understood why brands need to participate in marketing in order to grow. We also informed the pupils on the work experience opportunities available at 07 Heaven, we are always open to developing people’s understanding of Marketing and adding to their experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed the event and hope the school pupils did too. We hope they took away some vital information and hopefully inspired them to pursue a career in the industry as there is a wide variety of roles available from a web developer, to a content creator- there is something for everyone!
